Why it works
The film begins with an already moving, recognizable hybrid at frame 0, then changes form without a cut for all 781 frames. A stable stage makes the soft, spiny, translucent and petal surfaces distinct, while the return to the opening form near the end rewards replay. The measured focus changes at f112 and f620 reinforce two stages of the transformation.
