Why it works
A 2.67-second Earth hold establishes distant points of light, then close human actions make that image feel personal. From 0:10.6 to 0:23.4, the written thought builds while flames pass between people and the edit accelerates to nine cuts in the 0:20–0:25 interval. The final 8.75-second shot gives the world view and symbol room to register.
