A free ride offer spreads through a café
A 15-second live-action offer ad turns a quirky reaction into prop text, app proof, and a ride payoff.
Field notes / why it works
A cat close-up holds attention until the café opens up at 1.35 seconds. The benefit appears on a bright moving prop near 5.2 seconds and again on a phone near 9.1 seconds, making the offer concrete before the one-second brand card at 14 seconds. Five measured shots and seven measured picture changes keep the 15-second story brisk without losing the payoff.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
An odd, close-up reaction opens a tiny comic scene. A crowd catches the excitement; the offer appears on a moving real-world prop, then on the product screen, before a person experiences the result and a one-second brand card closes it. The promise becomes explicit on the prop around 0:05.2 and again on the phone around 0:09.1.
Why it works
- A fluffy cat fills the first 1.35 seconds, creating a visual pattern interrupt before the wider café reveals the social setting.
- The offer gets two physical proof points: bold text on a yellow vehicle at about 0:05.2, then a phone showing “FREE” at about 0:09.1.
- The 0:14.0 black end card keeps the brand legible after a busy sequence of people and places.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 15.0 s · source 640×360 at 25 fps |
| Pace | 5 machine-detected shots, 4 cuts (16/min), 3 internal picture changes and 1 uncertain change near 0:05; about 28 picture changes/min; mean detected shot 3.0 s. Distinct visual setups inside shot 1 are apparent on the sheet. |
| Script | 17 low-confidence detected words; nominal 76 wpm across the full ad and 150 wpm during detected speech. Do not treat the transcription as usable dialogue. |
| Voice | High-register, very animated human vocal/chant and later brief speech (inferred); no continuous explainer narration. |
| On screen | All live action until the final black brand card: cat and café, moving offer prop, crowd reactions, phone close-up, ride result. |
| Captions | No full transcription captions; only tiny white reaction syllables near the bottom in two frames. Offer text lives on props and phone. |
| Sound | Dense tonal bed through the ad; vocal energy on top. Measured −8.8 LUFS integrated and +0.2 dBFS true peak, so remaster a recreation with headroom. |
| Structure | Six visual beats: odd hook → social setup → offer in world → crowd reaction → app proof and result → brand card. |
