Field notes / why it works

At 0:00, two contrasting phone backs and a clear title deliver the first-look promise before any setup. Sixteen shots in 59.6 seconds alternate tangible design details with visible feature use, and the slower assistant interaction at 0:42–0:43 matches the strongest replay peak. The last five seconds return to the two-colour composition with one purchase action.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A narrated, hands-on first look at a new phone. Two colourful backs and a title identify the launch immediately; a sequence of tactile beauty shots and actual feature demonstrations turns specifications into things the viewer can see. The final five seconds move from the last product benefit to a pre-order instruction.

Why it works

  • The promise is visible at 0:00: two distinct product colours fill the vertical frame while the name sits in high contrast white boxes. It needs no setup.
  • The edit changes proof with the claim: camera hardware at 0:09–0:18, photo and audio tools at 0:19–0:29, search and assistant screens at 0:35–0:48. The feature list stays visual.
  • The assistant demonstration at 0:42–0:43 coincides with the dominant replay peak (0:42.0–0:42.6). It gives viewers a concrete, inspectable interaction after the faster feature montage.
