The AI Assistant Who Can't Answer the Customer
A 60-second two-character Webflow ad turns a failed AI answer into a comic, blue-lit existential detour.
Field notes / why it works
The customer appears in an initially empty chair around 0:01, creating a visual question before the first cut at 0:05.8. From 0:20 to 0:34 the assistant's failed lookup and useful alternative demonstrate the brand claim through dialogue; the switch to a blue existential scene around 0:40 adds a second comic payoff before the four-second end card.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A person asks a personified digital assistant a practical question. The assistant confidently assembles the wrong answer from incomplete public information, then demonstrates what a better source enables; a second, absurdly human problem becomes the final joke. The brand states the serious takeaway only in the final four seconds.
Why it works
- The cold open shows an empty guest chair and a relaxed assistant with shoes on the desk; the guest appears around 0:01, before the first cut at 0:05.8. That small impossibility earns attention without a title card.
- The demonstration gives the claim a cause and effect: from 0:20 to 0:34, the assistant fails to find one brand, then finds a relevant answer from a better built site.
- At 0:39.5, a throwaway phrase triggers a blue-lit existential monologue; the tonal turn renews interest before the direct brand statement at 0:55.6.
