A Human-First Future for Teamwork
A two-minute Notion brand manifesto that turns an AI-isolation fear into a visually crowded case for collective work.
Field notes / why it works
The first 9.2 seconds use historic images and source sound before the narrator states the collective thesis, while the opening changes picture within 0.3 seconds. A long, sparse 0:35–0:47 threat passage makes the rapid optimistic turn feel different: 1:10–1:20 contains 12 cuts, and the brand idea at 1:16 overlaps the highest replay peak (1:16.9–1:18.1).
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A 16:9 brand manifesto opens with historical examples of collective achievement, introduces a fear about a new technology, rejects an isolating future, then lands on the company's collaborative product vision. The argument moves from archival black and white to present-day colour, with a mid-register narrator, small yellow subtitles and a rapid team montage at the reveal.
Why it works
- The 0:00–0:09 cold open uses Moon-landing footage and group-achievement images before any narration. The first spoken promise arrives at 0:09.2, giving the visual premise time to register.
- The film sets up a clear tension at 0:35–0:55, then turns it at 1:05 with an abundance claim. The cut rate accelerates to 12 cuts in 1:10–1:20 as faces and teams replace the lonely-office imagery.
- The brand enters only at 1:16; the highest replay peak is 1:16.9–1:18.1, during the line about the product as a place for people to think together. This is attention evidence, not proof of why viewers replayed it.
