Field notes / why it works
The blank opening becomes a readable dot-matrix 3 by about 0:00.75, and the same glyph swells again around 0:02.25, creating two recognition moments without a cut. The 0:00.9–0:01.0 peak coincides with the large numeral, while the one-shot black-and-white design remains legible on a small screen.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A single bright, dot-matrix numeral breathes in and out of a black screen for six seconds. The product is withheld; the numeral is the whole visual promise, with the title supplying the launch context. The format relies on recognition, repetition and absence of clutter rather than explanation.
Why it works
- At 0:00 the frame is empty; a tiny mark appears by 0:00.25 and resolves into a readable “3” by about 0:00.50–0:00.75. That creates a micro reveal without a cut.
