Field notes / why it works

The first eight cuts arrive by 0:10, making historical searching a fast visual puzzle before the product appears. A quiet text card at 0:06.7 reframes the montage; after seven more elusive images, the 11.57-second product section from 0:15.3 gives the query and cross-app result time to read.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A silent, widescreen launch film takes the viewer through a rapid montage of people searching and things that may never be found, then pivots to a clean, legible product search demonstration. The promise becomes explicit in the product portion: {{PRODUCT}} helps {{AUDIENCE}} find {{ANSWER}} across {{SOURCES}}.

Why it works

  • The first eight cuts arrive by 0:10, turning a simple search metaphor into a visual puzzle before any product pitch.
  • A nearly empty white statement card at 0:06.7–0:09.4 interrupts the engravings and gives the montage a meaning; the film then renews the puzzle with four mythic or elusive subjects at 0:09.5–0:13.1.
  • The pace slows for an 11.57 s product segment from 0:15.3, so viewers can see a query, connected sources and results after the fast setup.
