Nintendo 2DS Product Reveal
A 55-second handheld launch film that moves from a shadowed hardware reveal to play, compatibility, and an availability card.
Field notes / why it works
A moving-light product tease delays the full reveal until about 6–8 seconds; the 6.0–6.6-second name/variant reveal is the strongest replay peak. Lifestyle use begins at 14.8 seconds, a compatibility catalog appears around 20.6–28.8, and social and portability scenes lead to a concrete release date by 46.6 seconds.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished, 55-second consumer-product launch film reveals the device as an object, then shows how it fits into ordinary life. Its promise is made in voice at 1.8–7.2 seconds and made visible with two colour variants at about 7 seconds. Each later claim gets a proof image: use, compatible content, social play, portability, then an availability card.
Why it works
- A dark macro view and moving light reveal the physical object before the name is spoken at about 6 seconds; the 6.0–6.6-second reveal is the strongest replay peak.
- The film changes from product beauty shots to a child actually using it at 14.8 seconds, then to a game-library collage at 24.7 seconds. That sequence answers “what is it?” and “what can I do with it?” in pictures.
- Feature chapters are compact: multiplayer spans roughly 34.5–40.8 seconds, portability 40.8–44.2, and the release card appears by 46.6. The close supplies a concrete date instead of another abstract benefit.
