Field notes / why it works

A distant, dark warehouse view switches to a portrait around 0:01.75, then rapid staff and product shots run from 0:03.4–0:08, making the speed claim tangible. Oversized customer, employee, and timeframe figures at 0:17–0:56 make each growth claim easy to grasp. A five-shot speed montage at 1:16–1:19 resets attention before personal career stories; the first replay peak is at 1:19.3–1:20.5.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A company recruiting film makes its central claim physically felt: an intentionally slow, dark opening suddenly accelerates into staff portraits, product footage, large numerical proof, and a rapid visual comparison. It then pivots from company scale to individual career growth before a short hiring call to action.

Why it works

  • A spacious warehouse view gives way to a portrait around 0:01.75; then seven very short measured shots arrive between 0:03.4 and 0:07.6. The edit demonstrates the promised speed before explaining it.
  • The scale claim becomes concrete at 0:17.5 and 0:19.7, then repeated timed comparisons at 0:29–0:56 turn growth into an escalating pattern.
  • The 1:16–1:19 burst of unrelated speed images resets attention; a personal career story follows. The 1:19.3–1:20.5 replay peak falls at that pivot.

Pace24 detected shots; 23 certain cuts, 12.0–19.9 cuts/min allowing uncertain changes; 26.1 measured picture changes/min; 4.78 s mean shot, 0.82 s median. The sheets show an additional visible opening switch around 0:01.75 that the detector grouped into shot 1. The 49.19 s measured shot contains many graphic changes.
Script253 measured words; 134 wpm over the whole film, about 197 wpm while speaking; 28 short sentences, 28 number mentions. Automated transcript has some errors, especially brand and product names.
VoiceSeveral real employee archetypes: conversational, confident, medium register overall, animated pitch; quick line handoffs.
On screenApprox. two-thirds dark warehouse interviews/products, one-fifth bright office and staff, a brief speed montage, then brand cards (visual estimate).
CaptionsNo continuous subtitles. Oversized keyword and number pops plus small employee name/title labels.
SoundPersistent energetic tonal bed, roughly 117 BPM (low-confidence estimate), near voice level; no clear cut-by-cut effects. −8.2 LUFS measured, +0.9 dBFS measured true peak.
StructureSpeed hook → scale proof → timed expansion examples → operating principle → speed montage → staff advancement → hiring card. CTA starts about 1:43.8.
