Field notes / why it works

The 0:00 split body creates a visual puzzle before narration begins at 0:01.9, and the fixed centre seam makes each new matched action feel like a reveal. The replay peak at 0:30.9–0:31.9 coincides with a skateboarder and expanding coloured smoke; the story then pivots through setbacks and solidarity before five fast action pairs from 1:16 to 1:25.5 and a stark final card.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A 90-second, narrated brand film puts two sports scenes side by side and makes their actions meet at one vertical seam. The opening claims collective strength at 0:01.9; successive pairs make difference feel like coordination, then turn setback into shared action. The closing line resolves on a single black title card.

Why it works

  • The first frame is already a visual puzzle: two athletes occupy one body shape; one half changes to another athlete around 0:01.5 without a full-frame cut.
  • The fixed seam turns each new pairing into a little reveal. The most-replayed peak at 0:30.9–0:31.9 is the skateboarder carrying rainbow-coloured smoke across the divide.
  • The argument grows from individual motion (0:00–0:32) through setbacks (0:38–0:50) to teams gathering (0:50–1:25), ending with a compact statement at 1:25.5.
