Figma Slides: From Deck Grid to Live Feedback
A music-led Slides launch that turns an outcome gallery into cursor-driven feature demos and a live audience payoff.
Field notes / why it works
A 10-second grid of 22 varied slides shows the outcome before the editor appears, while moving cursors imply collaboration. At 0:25–0:52, each editing claim is paired with an observable cursor or UI change; the prototype insertion around 1:06–1:07 is the strongest replay peak. The live pulse-check at 1:24–1:28 turns the collaboration promise into a visible audience response.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished, music-led product announcement moves from a gallery of possible outcomes into the actual editor. A cursor proves several capabilities in sequence, then the finished work becomes an interactive presentation that the audience can act on.
Why it works
- The first 10 seconds show a whole deck and active cursors before the product is explained: the result and collaborative context are visible immediately.
- Concrete UI actions carry the middle: text editing at 0:25, layout at 0:44, animation at 0:51, and an embedded prototype around 1:03.
- The promise of audience participation pays off visually at 1:24–1:28, when face stamps accumulate on a live pulse-check card; the prototype insertion at 1:06–1:07 is the strongest measured replay point.
