Meta Quest 3S: An Experience-First Launch
A music-led headset launch that turns macro product mystery into varied use cases before a late $299 reveal.
Field notes / why it works
Four cuts in the first three seconds turn extreme device details and the incomplete 'Say hello to' line into a reveal that resolves with the product name around 0:05. The film then gives each benefit its own visual world, from mixed reality at 0:21 to social and game scenes at 0:42–0:57, before the sparse $299 card at 0:59. Price dominates the top comments, while the final logo at 1:07.9–1:08.6 is the most replayed interval.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A 69-second, 16:9 consumer-product launch film starts with tactile mystery: extreme close-ups of an unfamiliar device, then a name card at 0:04.8. It expands from object to people, then to increasingly ambitious use cases, and finishes with a clear price at 0:59 and a quiet brand lockup at 1:08. The promise is that one accessible device opens several kinds of experiences; the film makes that promise through demonstration and type, with the music carrying most of the energy.
Why it works
- The first 2.8 seconds show four product macro angles before the viewer sees the whole device. The “Say hello” text turns the reveal into a small open loop.
- Every abstract claim gets a different scene: mixed reality in a room at 0:21, a playful virtual world at 0:24, social and large-screen uses around 0:42–0:46, and games from 0:47–0:57.
- The $299 price waits until about 0:59, after the feature and experience montage. Price is also the dominant theme in the top comments, and the 1:07.9–1:08.6 logo end card is the most replayed interval.

| Script | Sparse on-screen phrases and cards; measured 63 audio words are predominantly song lyrics, not a product narration. Do not use the 60 overall / 202 active wpm lyric estimates as a voiceover target. |
| Voice | No presenter or explanatory voiceover; a vocal music track supplies human energy. |
