The Empty Seat Product Reveal
A continuous pub story turns a missing regular's empty stool into a website proof reveal and a branded visual bookend.
Field notes / why it works
The empty stool at 0:00 poses a visual question, while the camera reveals the storyteller at about 0:02; YouTube's strongest replay peak is 0:02.5–0:02.9. The product arrives as a physical laptop proof at 0:14.8–0:20.4, after the disappearance story, and the 0:30.9–0:40.7 brand card returns to the same stool. One detected take uses actor blocking and seven internal picture changes to keep a slow 40.7-second film moving.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A local tells a tiny legend about a missing regular, beginning on the person's empty chair. The camera discovers the speakers, then a physical product proof turns the mystery into a simple “someone like us can do this” claim. A clean brand card returns to the same chair.
Why it works
- At 0:00–0:02, the empty stool and deictic first line make the viewer search for a person before the camera reveals the speaker. The YouTube replay peak at 0:02.5–0:02.9 coincides with that reveal.
- The disappearance is held until about 0:14; the laptop showing the missing person's site enters at 0:14.8 and becomes legible by 0:18.5. Product proof arrives as a story answer.
- The opening object returns at 0:30.9 under the selling proposition and logo, making the last image resolve the first.

| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 640 × 360 source · 25 fps · 40.7 s |
| Pace | 1 detected continuous shot, 0 cuts/min, 40.7 s shot; 7 internal picture changes, about 10.3 changes/min. The 0:13.6 move is uncertain, likely a whip/pan. |
| Script | 59 transcribed words; 112 wpm over full film, 141 wpm during speech; 12 short sentence units, 4.9 words on average. The transcript around 0:24–0:30 appears unreliable; write a fresh line there. |
| Voice | Low, conversational local storyteller; another patron and bartender provide brief responses (inferred from frames). |
| On screen | Live action throughout: empty chair → medium close-up at bar → bartender/reaction → laptop as proof → second patron → empty chair. |
| Captions | No dialogue subtitles. Only opening logo, product proof on laptop, then centered end-card type. |
| Sound | Quiet, tonal music-like bed and bar ambience (bed classification inferred); speech forward; measured −19.3 LUFS integrated, −2.8 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Mystery → witness story → missing-person turn → product proof → universal takeaway → static call to action. |
