A Human Need Becomes a Brand Symbol

A text-led, music-driven identity launch that turns a universal need into a simple animated mark through illustrated scenes and a line morph.

Field notes / why it works

The first 59 seconds progressively convert a broad human observation into a visual design problem: grey particle field, white emotional text, yellow paper-plane journey, then rough symbol sketches. Five subsecond colour cards at 0:59–1:02 suddenly reveal the mark; the line morph around 1:16.7–1:17.7 coincides with the strongest replay peak (0.95), and repeated clean end cards teach recognition.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A 105-second, 16:9 motion-graphics launch film starts with a broad human observation, narrows to a universal need, then argues that the new brand deserves one simple, drawable mark. The final third shows that mark being assembled, explains its component meanings, and ends on the symbol and wordmark.

Why it works

  • It turns an abstract brand claim into a visual journey: grey text and particles (0:00–0:13), bright travel objects (0:25–0:43), rough symbol exploration (0:43–0:59), then the finished mark (0:59 onward).
  • The 0:59–1:02 burst of five very short logo-colour shots changes the pace after two long animated sequences; the cut rate is only 4.0–5.2/min overall.
  • The transformation around 1:16.7–1:17.7 is the strongest replay peak (0.95): a heart/letter-like line resolves into the final glyph.

Pace8 measured shots; 7 cuts; 4.0–5.2 cuts/min allowing two uncertain changes; 8 step changes within shots; 8.6 picture changes/min; mean shot 13.07 s, median 0.79 s because long animated passages surround a short cut burst
ScriptOn-screen copy carries the argument; no confirmed speech. The four-word transcript is a misread music cue, so spoken WPM is not applicable.
VoiceNo narrator or visible person. Text is the narrator.
On screenEntirely designed 2D motion graphics: kinetic typography, dots, paper plane, illustrated cards, loose sketches, shape morphs, logo cards.
CaptionsNo speech subtitles; centered, sentence-case typography cards with one highlighted word or phrase.
SoundContinuous upbeat instrumental (inferred from waveform and music cue), rough tempo 150 BPM or half time; no clear cut-accent SFX; −13.0 LUFS integrated, 0.1 dBFS measured true peak.
StructureHuman context → desire → brand promise → symbol need → colour burst → symbol meanings and morph → final mark. Payoff around 1:18–1:21; end card 1:36–1:44. No explicit verbal CTA.
