A Robot Takes a Football Skill Test
A cinematic branded micro-story turns one robot football trick into a setup, attempt, proof, and delayed brand reveal.
Field notes / why it works
The large title identifies the series by 0:00.5, while the exercise card at 0:04.7 gives the unusual subject a concrete task. Wide attempts alternate with foot and face details, then a 0.45-second target close-up at 0:21.4 proves the result; the strongest replay peak is the immediate aftermath at 0:22.4–0:22.8. Branding waits until about 0:25, so the payoff arrives first.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A branded subject tries one recognizable skill in a moody test space. A title names the exercise, tiny interface labels suggest preparation, and the camera alternates between full-body action and mechanical details until one brief result shot resolves the challenge. Branding waits until after the payoff.
Why it works
- The opening gives the viewer a clear task: the large series title fills the overhead shot by 0:00.5, then the exercise title appears at about 0:04.7.
- The sequence makes an unusual subject legible through close details at 0:09.8 and 0:15.4, then a wide attempt at 0:17–0:21.
- The ball reaches the net at 0:21.4–0:21.8; the strongest replay peak follows at 0:22.4–0:22.8, where the subject is seen again after the result.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 37.7 s measured at 640×360, 23.98 fps |
| Pace | 12 detected shots, 11 cuts; 17.5–19.1 cuts/min allowing one uncertain final change; 20.7 picture changes/min; mean shot 3.14 s, median 2.4 s |
| Script | No reliable spoken script. The ASR returned three words, all low confidence; key information is on-screen. |
| Voice | No dependable narrator or dialogue to direct; play as a visual film. |
| On screen | About 70% staged subject / test-space action, 10% result and branded inserts, 20% static subscribe card (approximate from sheets). |
| Captions | No running subtitles. Use large white title cards and tiny monospaced interface labels. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal, music-like bed around 121 BPM (rough estimate); accents around several cuts; −15.1 LUFS integrated, −3.2 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Title → exercise setup → preparation → attempt → result → brand line → subscribe. Physical payoff around 0:21.5; brand turn around 0:25.5. |
