A Rescue Story Told Through the Witness and the Watch

A 35-second first-person rescue film delays the wearable reveal until injury evidence and personal footage make its role meaningful.

Field notes / why it works

The witness states the severe consequence at 0:00, creating a question before the 0:02.3 story card. Family and trail images, an X-ray at 0:16.7, and the wrist gesture around 0:19 build credible stakes before the emergency UI appears at 0:20.4; 13 shots in 35 seconds keep the account moving without flashy effects.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A person begins with the consequence of an incident, then briefly rewinds to the ordinary activity that led there. Only after the physical stakes are clear does a close product insert show what helped; a hospital/recovery image supplies the outcome. It is a compact testimonial film with a delayed product reveal, not a feature walkthrough.

Why it works

  • The first spoken line, “I was completely knocked out,” gives the outcome at 0:00 before any context or logo.
  • Real-world evidence changes shape every few seconds: interview, family photo at 0:06.6, trail footage at 0:11.1, X-ray at 0:16.7, wearable UI at 0:22.4, and hospital image at 0:25.5.
  • The speaker points to the device at about 0:19; the isolated device screen then answers the open question at 0:20.4–0:24.4.
