Woodo's Storybook World Launch
An 80-second game launch trailer that turns a watercolor childhood memory into tactile diorama gameplay and a long availability reveal.
Field notes / why it works
A short narrated memory at 0:08–0:14 gives the miniature world emotional stakes before gameplay begins at 0:22.7. The 1.3–3-second product shots build toward food assembly and a tiny character reveal around 0:49–0:52, the highest replayed section. The final card holds for 10.9 seconds, making the product name and availability easy to absorb.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A gentle, illustrated memory opens a product launch trailer; the art becomes a miniature world that the viewer can explore through brief gameplay vignettes. A second emotional line near the end ties the scenes together, then a long, readable product and availability card completes the promise.
Why it works
- The story establishes a childlike summer memory at 0:07.8–0:13.7 before showing a feature, so the product is framed as a place and feeling (inferred), not a feature list.
- At 0:22.7 the watercolor world gives way to warm, tactile 3D scenes. Nine gameplay and world glimpses from 0:22.7–0:41.6 show characters, placement UI, a garden, and a small action, making the promise visible.
- The highest replay point is 0:51.0–0:51.8, when a miniature food table is followed by a snug creature close-up; a later replay peak at 0:57.5–0:58.3 accompanies a fuller world view.
