Field notes / why it works

The first 2.3 seconds reveal the vehicle through darkness and light before the front-facing payoff, and a named feature follows by about 0:03.3. After a slower first 10 seconds, the edit rises to 45 shots across the minute, matching concise labels to visible controls, driving, storage, and interface proof. The largest replay peak at 0:53.7–0:54.3 coincides with the wet/dry front trunk demonstration, just before the drain detail.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A near-silent, cinematic product tour promises a complete view of the new Model Y in one minute. A moody vehicle reveal gives way to a rapid sequence of feature labels laid directly over close-up demonstrations, then a quiet brand end card. The format earns speed without a narrator because every claim has its own image.

Why it works

  • The opening withholds the full car: dark rear and side glimpses from 0:00–0:02.3, a front lighting reveal at 0:02.5, and a named feature by 0:03.3.
  • The pace accelerates from only two cuts in the first 10 seconds to six cuts during 0:35–0:40; the 45-shot film averages 1.33 seconds per shot.
  • The strongest replay peak, 0:53.7–0:54.3, lands on a practical wet/dry front trunk demonstration, followed immediately by its drain plug. The visual proof is more memorable than a feature list alone (inferred).

Pace45 shots; 44–46 cuts/min; 47 picture changes/min; mean shot 1.33 s, median 1.0 s
ScriptOn-screen feature labels, usually 2–4 words; no reliable spoken script. An eight-word automatic transcript at 0:27 is low confidence and appears spurious.
VoiceNone confirmed; the format does not need a narrator.
On screenPredominantly filmed product b-roll: exterior, interior, human interactions, driving, and physical proof. A filmed interface appears in several shots.
CaptionsNo speech captions. Small, white, regular-weight, centered feature labels over footage.
SoundMusic-like bed measured near 78 BPM (0.57 confidence); cut accents are not systematic. Audio mood below is inferred from the visual treatment.
StructureReveal → comfort and cabin → camera/safety/space → driving and performance → utility → end card; no spoken CTA.
