Guided Search in Two Real Tasks
A cinematic product announcement that moves from everyday search needs into two inspectable interface demos and a quiet brand close.
Field notes / why it works
The first five seconds name three concrete search needs before introducing the product, so the promise has immediate context. A long 0:05–0:35 interface sequence visibly moves from question to clarification, sources, and answer; the 0:48–0:49 rewrite control is the strongest replay peak, showing viewers inspected the second workflow. Seven main shots and only about 5.1 clear cuts per minute leave room to read the product while cursor and UI changes carry the motion.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished product launch film starts with three familiar moments of need, then shows a search assistant handling one question in depth and another through a quick-answer upgrade. Human imagery makes the problem feel real; a calm, extended interface walkthrough supplies proof; a brief collage and brand slate close the film.
Why it works
- The first 5 seconds move from a person choosing headphones to news and travel, giving three audience entry points before the product explanation at about 0:05–0:09.
- The 0:07–0:35 Kyoto flow shows clarification, source gathering, and an answer inside the real interface. The roughly 31-second hold makes the mechanism inspectable.
- The second demo offers a fresh use case at 0:42; the rewrite choice at 0:48–0:49 is the film's strongest replay peak (relative replay score 0.5).
