Field notes / why it works

The first 6.2 seconds hold a white behavior promise on black before revealing the hardware, creating a clean curiosity gap. The middle alternates hand controls, wearers, and lens-view interface proof, accelerating to seven cuts per five seconds around 0:35–0:45. The final product shot lasts 4.94 seconds and contains the strongest replay peak at 0:55.3–0:55.9.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A cinematic product launch starts with a white, second-person promise on black, then moves through glossy hardware details, people using the product, and brief point-of-view interface proof. The cuts accelerate into a feature montage, then slow for a final hero product shot. It promises a change in everyday behavior before explaining the mechanism.

Why it works

  • The opening holds a single white line on black for the first 3 seconds; withholding the object creates a curiosity gap before the first cut at 6.2 s.
  • From 0:23 to 0:46, the band, hand gestures, wearer, city, and display views make an otherwise abstract interaction visible. Pace rises to seven cuts in each of the 0:35–0:45 windows.
  • A nearly five-second final product hold at 0:51.9–0:56.8 gives the viewer time to inspect the object. The strongest replay peak is 0:55.3–0:55.9, during that hero shot.
