Mina the Hollower gameplay release window trailer
A 45-second pixel-art gameplay montage builds through mechanics and bosses to a clear spring 2026 release card.
Field notes / why it works
The ident gives way to gameplay at 0:03.4, and 38 shots show locations, combat, characters, and upgrade systems without verbal explanation. A gear and inventory beat near 0:33 aligns with the highest replay peak at 0:33.1–0:33.6; the montage then reaches eight cuts in 0:35–0:40 before a 3.24-second release card makes the launch claim readable.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A dark, animated studio ident opens a 45-second game launch trailer. Nearly the entire runtime is unvoiced gameplay: locations, combat, exploration, inventory, bosses, and characters appear in increasingly rapid cuts, then a still end card names the product and release window. The footage itself proves breadth before the card asks the viewer to act.
Why it works
- After a 3.37 s ident, the first gameplay shot immediately shows the protagonist and setting; the trailer spends no time explaining its premise verbally.
- The cut rate increases around 0:19–0:25 and reaches eight cuts in 0:35–0:40, turning variety into a crescendo before the end card.
- The most-replayed moment, 0:33.1–0:33.6, sits at a gameplay-to-inventory transition; viewers appear to inspect the equipment and trinket systems (inferred). A clean 3.24 s hold at 0:41.8 gives the release claim time to register.
