Skip the Taxi-Hailing Melodrama

A 15-second night-street comedy turns a chaotic taxi search into a one-tap product reveal and clean brand payoff.

Field notes / why it works

The app's taxi option appears before the first cut at 0:00.95, making the ensuing street chaos legible as a problem the product solves. Eleven shots in 15 seconds build to the 0:05.8–0:06.0 replay peak during a comic confrontation, then a second phone insert at 0:10.3 and a visible taxi by 0:12 turn the joke into proof.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A phone shows the solution immediately, then a compressed comic scene makes the alternative feel absurd. The ad returns to the phone at 0:10.3, shows the solution in the street by 0:12, and closes on a spare brand card at 0:14. The promise is relief from the spectacle, not a product tutorial.

Why it works

  • The product appears in the first second (0:00–0:00.95), so the following chaos has a clear contrast.
  • Eleven shots in 15 seconds, with a 0.7-second cut to the barricade at 0:08.2, turn a simple taxi problem into a comic escalation.
  • The strongest replay point, 0:05.8–0:06.0, falls in the heated face-to-face confrontation. Comments repeatedly mention the laugh and comic memory of the ad; this is audience evidence, not proof of causation.
