Kimi K3’s Tactile Capability Reveal
A paper-and-ink launch film turns into a rapid carousel of AI-built games and interfaces, then slows for an inspectable research demo.
Field notes / why it works
A fast cut at 0:00.33 and a blank framed page make the hand-drawn reveal at 0:02.1 feel earned. The film then compresses roughly eight distinct output types into 0:27–0:40 before holding an interactive research page for 10.94 seconds; that transition contains the strongest replay peak at 0:40.5–0:41.0. The quiet paper-and-serif coda gives the dense demonstration a clear brand ending.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A product launch film begins as a restrained, overhead paper-and-ink mystery, reveals a creation interface, then races through visually different things the product can make. The last third slows down on a readable, interactive proof example before returning to the brand and a short declarative end line.
Why it works
- The first cut arrives at 0:00.33, but a blank framed page holds until 0:02.1; the hand-drawn horse supplies a visual question before any product claim.
- The middle escalates from one 3D game world at 0:10.5 to a succession of game and interactive formats at 0:27–0:39.8; the 0:30–0:40 span reaches roughly 3–4 cuts per five seconds.
- The most-replayed peak is 0:40.5–0:41.0, exactly where the edit shifts from spectacle to a research page viewers can inspect. A second replay peak at 0:46.7–0:47.3 falls near the dashboard example.

| Pace | 22 shots · 21 definite cuts · 22.2–29.6 cuts/min allowing uncertain changes · 26.4 definite picture changes/min · mean shot 2.58 s, median 1.44 s |
| Script | Three detected spoken words in one possible in-world line at 0:26.5; no sustained narration or explanatory script. Recognizer confidence is low. |
| Voice | If the line is speech, a brief low-register character/game voice; the film otherwise communicates through visuals and labels. |
| On screen | Roughly 15% tactile paper/brand imagery, 20% creation interface and illustrated world, 45% rapid game/output examples, 20% web research, dashboard, and coda (estimated from shots). |
| Captions | No dialogue subtitles. Small, off-white rectangular output labels near the bottom; sparse large serif brand typography. |
| Sound | Continuous music-like bed (inferred from measurement), approximately 101 BPM with low confidence; no reliable evidence of a cut effect on every edit. Measured integrated level −10.8 LUFS. |
| Structure | 5 phases: mystery → reveal → creation demo → capability carousel → inspectable proof and end card. No explicit verbal CTA. |
