MacBook Neo color handoff launch film
A music-led laptop launch that reveals four colors through handoffs, shows brief device use, then lands on a spare value card.
Field notes / why it works
The first 2.75 seconds keep the laptop centered while hands expose successive colors, making a long opening shot feel active. At 0:09–0:14, quick keyboard and phone examples turn the beauty reveal into product proof. A two-line value card at ~0:28 and isolated logo at ~0:30 give the 35-second film a clean payoff.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A clean, music-led product announcement turns four color variants into a hand-to-hand reveal. After the color choreography, it shows the product working in a few everyday use cases, then ends on a short benefit statement and a logo. The promise is visible before any claim: this is a new, attractive object with several finishes and useful features.
Why it works
- At 0:00–0:02.75, hands remove one colored lid to reveal another every fraction of a second. The object stays centered while the color changes, creating immediate visual curiosity without narration.
- At 0:04.5, the open device displays a large two-word introduction. The film then moves to keyboard and phone continuity at 0:09–0:14, turning the reveal into proof of use.
- The last ~7 seconds switch from moving product imagery to a short value proposition at 0:28 and a lone logo around 0:30. That sudden visual quiet makes the message easy to retain.
