Field notes / why it works

A party wide shot and empty-can POV make the tiny goal legible by 2.5 seconds without explanatory text. The bright can connects rapid life-stage jumps from 15.8 to 22.7 seconds, while the funeral action at 23.2–23.6 is the top replay peak. A second person repeats the reach around 26.4 seconds, turning the punchline into a loop before the end line.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A young adult reaches into a snack can at a party. The hand remains trapped while a rapid sequence of life events passes, then a funeral joke and a new person repeat the action. The product becomes a physical through-line: a tiny, familiar inconvenience is treated with the scale of a lifelong romance.

Why it works

  • The first three seconds establish a familiar last-piece problem with a party wide shot, an overhead empty-can view at 1.75–2.5, and the hand going in; there is no explanatory card.
  • The same bright red cylinder stays readable against different settings, so the time jumps around 8, 16.7, 18.1, 19.4, 20.9 and 22.7 seconds require little exposition.
  • The 22.7–24.6 second funeral reveal draws the highest replay peak at 23.2–23.6; a second person with a different can restarts the gag near 26.4.
