Robot Door Test Under Disturbance
A continuous wide-shot robot demo proves recovery by showing the door task, human interference, and another attempt in one frame.
Field notes / why it works
The locked 63.7-second shot keeps the door, robot, and tester visible together, so progress and recovery can be judged without an edit. The strongest disturbance around 0:30–0:31 aligns with the top replay peak at 0:30.7–0:31.4; the resumed door task near 0:42 gives viewers a second proof beat.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A machine attempts a simple, legible task in a plain workroom. A tester interferes, and the unbroken wide shot lets the viewer judge whether it recovers. The promise becomes visible at about 0:09, when the tester and task meet; the fullest proof arrives around 0:30–0:32.
Why it works
- The first 3 seconds show an empty doorway, then the yellow robot enters from the right by about 0:01. The unexplained arrival opens a visual question.
- A single 63.7-second shot, with zero cuts, preserves spatial continuity through door handling and interference. The viewer can inspect the result.
- The most replayed span, 0:30.7–0:31.4, coincides with the sharpest disturbance and recovery. Replay peaks also appear near the door interaction at 0:21 and the next task cycle at 0:42.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 63.7 s · source 640×360 at 29.97 fps |
| Pace | 1 continuous shot · 0 cuts/min · 63.7 s average shot · 11 detected picture changes from action, about 10.4/min |
| Script | No intentional spoken script; action is the script. Transcript contains one implausible short phrase at 0:04.3 that conflicts with the “no speech detected” result and visible presentation, so treat it as an automatic transcription artifact. |
| Voice | No narrator or presenter address; tester is a silent, practical operator archetype. |
| On screen | 100% fixed, live-action, wide workroom demonstration until the black tail card. |
| Captions | None; small white organization watermark at lower right during footage. |
| Sound | Measured −31.7 LUFS integrated, −0.2 dBFS true peak. No music track is identifiable from the supplied facts or frames; the 163 BPM music estimate has low confidence (0.31). Use practical sound/room tone. |
| Structure | Arrival → door attempt → interference → recovery → second attempt → exit. No spoken CTA. |
