A UFO News Report Becomes an SUV Reveal
A mock breaking-news broadcast turns an impossible sighting into a delayed vehicle reveal and a feature-led eyewitness report.
Field notes / why it works
A blue-red alert graphic promises a dramatic report by 0:00.75, while the actual product stays hidden until the 0:35–0:43 reveal. The anchor-to-reporter-to-eyewitness handoffs refresh the premise, and 2–4 second exterior and cabin shots at 1:11–1:25 attach real features to the joke. The deadpan studio payoff at 1:40–1:47 coincides with the strongest measured replay window near 1:46.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A straight-faced breaking-news broadcast reports an impossible event, then reveals that the object at its centre is a real product. The anchor establishes the mystery, a field reporter shows the object, an eyewitness turns product specifications into surprised testimony, and the studio closes with a joke.
Why it works
- The first 3 seconds borrow the visual authority of a news alert before the anchor speaks at 0:03.1.
- The mystery acquires a tangible answer at 0:35–0:43: a hero SUV shot followed by its name and an inset detail shot.
- A 21-second eyewitness exchange from 0:50.8 bridges the staged event to concrete product details; replay activity also rises around feature lines at 1:18.5–1:19.7 and 1:25.7–1:26.9.
