Field notes / why it works

A lone rocket becomes a gold burst by 0:02.5, giving a visual payoff before the product card at about 0:05. The visible camera interface at 0:13.9–0:20.9 supplies process proof and contains the strongest replay peak (0:14.7–0:15.1); wider, faster, more colourful shots from 0:27.8 carry the finish.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A horizontal, almost wordless product launch film proves a camera's night-video capability by filming fireworks. It opens with one rocket in a nearly black frame, shows the resulting burst before naming the device, briefly reveals the phone's camera interface, and ends with a faster, wider fireworks montage.

Why it works

  • The first 2.5 seconds turn a single bright trail into a burst; the product claim is demonstrated before the 5-second title card.
  • At 13.9–20.9 seconds, a visible recording interface makes the footage feel like a capture demonstration. The 14.7–15.1-second interface moment is the strongest replay peak (0.93).
  • The edit grows denser: no detected cuts in the first 10 seconds, then three cuts in 30–35 seconds. Wide crowd-scale imagery at 27–34 seconds pays off the close opening.

Pace12 detected shots, 11 detected cuts, 16.1 cuts/min; 2 internal picture changes, 19.0 changes/min; mean shot 3.42 s, median 2.74 s. Dark fades in the opening may make detection conservative.
ScriptNo reliable spoken script. The three machine-transcribed words are likely music/noise errors; meaningful copy is on screen.
VoiceNone apparent in the sheets or reliable transcript.
On screenApproximately 80% direct fireworks/night footage, 12% phone camera interface, 8% black brand card (inferred from representative frames).
CaptionsNo subtitles. Two sparse white title treatments; no running captions.
SoundContinuous tonal, music-like bed; approximate 110 BPM, low confidence. No clear effects synchronized to cuts. Measured −9.3 LUFS integrated, +0.4 dBFS true peak.
StructureSpark → first burst → identity → close spectacle → capture proof → wider escalation → bright finale; no spoken CTA.
