A Track Assembled in Under a Minute
A silent, black-stage instrument demo builds an electronic track one tactile layer at a time.
Field notes / why it works
A one-second mark gives way to immediate hand action, so the title's short-duration promise turns into visible proof. New drums, bass, and synth layers enter around 0:01, 0:09, 0:14, and 0:19, while 15 picture/label changes keep a dark, restrained frame active. The distinctive two-handed function near 0:28.6 coincides with the strongest measured replay peak.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent, black-stage product performance builds a finished music loop from separate parts in under a minute. A brief brand card gives way to hands operating the device; tiny labels identify each new layer while the sound itself proves the result.
Why it works
- The title promises a time-boxed result; the film starts the demonstration around 0:01, without a spoken preamble.
- Each action produces an audible addition: drums at 0:01–0:09, bass near 0:09, then melodic layers around 0:14 and 0:19. The viewer can hear progress even when the labels are too small to read.
- Around 0:28.6–0:29.1, both hands perform the distinctive generative-control step. That is the strongest measured replay peak (0.53), suggesting this interaction deserves a clear close-up.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 1280×720, 16:9 · 54.8 s at 24 fps |
| Pace | Detector groups the film as 1 continuous shot, 0 measured cuts/min, 54.8 s average; 15 internal picture changes, or 16.4 changes/min. The frames show alternating wide and close views; treat these as visual switches rather than relying on the detector's cut count. |
| Script | No spoken words. About one short functional label per operation, usually 2–4 words. |
| Voice | None; the performer never addresses camera. |
| On screen | (Inferred from sampled frames) roughly three quarters high-angle hand/device close-up, one quarter distant front-facing performer wide shot, plus a one-second logo card. |
| Captions | No subtitles. Small, light white instructional labels and outline icons at upper left. |
| Sound | The created electronic track is the soundtrack; measured rough pulse 94 BPM. Source mix −13.0 LUFS integrated, +0.6 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Logo → drums → bass → two synth layers → generative variation → tape/effect move → hand-played finish; no in-video CTA. |
