Ironclad Democracy arsenal trailer
A 96-second game-content launch trailer that turns feature labels, combat escalations, and a comic emote into a rapid reveal.
Field notes / why it works
After a nine-second rating and ident lead-in, the trailer introduces a burning battlefield and sustains 46.0–51.6 cuts per minute. Compact labels identify successive gear reveals from 0:23 through 1:00 while the footage demonstrates them. The strongest replay peak at 1:27.3–1:28.3 lands on a comic helmet emote after the final battle surge.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A widescreen, almost wordless combat trailer reveals a themed content pack through a sequence of increasingly destructive demonstrations. Small technical labels name each new item while the action itself supplies proof; a playful character beat near the end rewards viewers who stay through the barrage.
Why it works
- After the ident sequence, a dark orange battlefield arrives at 0:09.1 and the trailer moves at 46.0–51.6 cuts/min, making each new weapon or impact feel like another reveal.
- Feature labels stay subordinate to the footage: heavy armor at 0:23, a primary weapon at 0:26, a tank pattern at 0:37, and another weapon at 0:55. The viewer can inspect each item without a voiceover explaining it.
- The most-replayed second, 1:27.3–1:28.3, lands on a light comic emote after the explosions. The shift from escalation to character gives the montage a memorable finish.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 1280×720 · 60 fps · 96.5 s |
| Pace | 75 measured shots, 74 cuts; 46.0–51.6 cuts/min allowing uncertain flashes; 49.1 measured picture changes/min; mean shot 1.29 s, median 1.02 s |
| Script | 13 machine-transcribed words, roughly 11 wpm across the whole film; dialogue is sparse and the transcript has low-confidence words |
| Voice | Brief in-world, urgent character barks; no sustained narrator |
| On screen | Predominantly cinematic game footage: battlefield wides, over-shoulder combat, armor and weapon close-ups, machines and explosions; ident and end-card graphics bookend it |
| Captions | No speech captions; small lower-left equipment labels and one centered chapter-style banner |
| Sound | Music-like cinematic bed, combat impacts and weapon audio; −14.5 LUFS integrated, −0.9 dBFS true peak |
| Structure | Rating/idents → destruction setup → equipment showcase → escalating battle → comic emote → branded end card; no spoken CTA |
