A Solar Home, From Roof to App
A 41-second, music-led solar-system explainer that connects home, roof, wall hardware, and app through sparse text and live-action proof.
Field notes / why it works
The opening aerial shows an installed system at 0:00 and labels the topic by 0:00.8. The film progresses from roof capture at 0:10 to gateway and storage at 0:20–0:27, then app control at 0:28, so each short claim has visual proof. The strongest replay peak at 0:09.8–0:10.2 coincides with the first clear solar-panel close-up.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent-viewing-friendly product explainer follows one useful thing from source to capture, storage, and control. It opens with a real-world aerial view, then names each stage with a short white sentence while switching from homes to hardware to the app. The last card unifies the parts.
Why it works
- The first frame shows the outcome in context; the small title appears by 0:00.8, before any cut.
- The sequence makes an invisible flow tangible: sun/home at 0:03–0:10, capture options at 0:10–0:16, wall hardware at 0:20–0:27, app at 0:29.
- Viewers most replay 0:09.8–0:10.2, exactly as the film moves from the complete home to a clear panel close-up. The hardware explanation around 0:20 is another replay peak.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 40.8 s · source 640×360 at 23.98 fps |
| Pace | 11 shots, 10 cuts, 14.7 cuts/min; 9 internal text/picture steps, about 27.9 picture changes/min; 3.71 s mean shot, 2.84 s median |
| Script | About 8 short on-screen claims or labels; no reliable spoken script. OCR from the supplied frames is paraphrased below. |
| Voice | No verified narrator or speaking person; the detected 20-word transcript is low-confidence and unrelated to the picture. |
| On screen | Live-action aerial homes/roof/sun and hardware, a phone/app close-up, brief two-panel montage, black end card; no presenter. |
| Captions | Small white centered sentence labels, generally 2–7 words; title uses a larger line and smaller subtitle. No karaoke subtitles. |
| Sound | Continuous music-like bed (inferred from audio measurements), roughly 139 BPM or half-time; −14.1 LUFS integrated, −0.2 dBFS true peak. No confirmed cut SFX. |
| Structure | Outcome → source → capture choices → production → gateway/storage → app → system payoff; no in-video call to action. |
