A Puppy Outgrows the Hotel Hallway
A 15-second 3D miniature ad turns a cramped dog-friendly hotel into a spacious home, then lands on a spare brand card.
Field notes / why it works
The first 6.5 seconds make the limitation physical: a puppy and person run toward the end of a three-door miniature hotel corridor, with a replay peak at 0:03.8–0:04.0. A 4.82-second voice pause lets the roomy house and lawn visible by 0:09.1 make the case visually; one hard cut at 0:12.1 shifts to a minimal CTA card.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A gently comic 3D miniature makes a familiar promise feel inadequate: a small person and dog move through a narrow hotel hallway while the narrator questions whether “dog-friendly” means comfortable for the dog. The model opens into a spacious home and yard; after a long visual pause, a short brand line lands over a plain end card.
Why it works
- The first frame establishes the constraint without labels: three identical red doors on a thin platform, with a small dog and person already moving (0:00–0:03).
- The setup is acted out instead of explained with graphics: at the far end of the corridor the dog and person run out of room (about 0:03.4–0:06), while the narrator completes the ironic premise.
- A contrasting house and lawn are visible by 0:09.1, then the final spoken invitation waits until 0:11.3; the image gets time to make the argument first.
