A Small Ride Versus a Costly Regret
A comic live-action ad lets an awkward walk unravel before contrasting a €110 regret with an €8 ride.
Field notes / why it works
The moving car and flower-shop exit establish the easier option by 0:03, while 19 shots turn an awkward bouquet walk into a visible ordeal. The broken bouquet around 0:24 makes the €110 regret tangible; a late €8 ride caption around 0:31 delivers a specific, memorable comparison before the brand close.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished, lightly comic brand film lets a small avoidable choice turn into a visible ordeal. It withholds the product argument until the viewer has watched the consequence, then makes the comparison with two sparse price captions and one spoken action line.
Why it works
- The 0:00–0:02.4 street-wide shot shows the tempting easy option, a car, before the characters make their choice at the florist. The product tension begins visually.
- At 0:11.8–0:27.4, foot-level movement, a climb, exhausted reactions, and a fallen bouquet make the bad choice physically legible without explanatory graphics.
- The cost contrast is delayed: €110 appears around 0:24.7, a relationship consequence around 0:28.7, and an €8 ride around 0:31.6. The numbers convert a comic scene into a practical product point.

| Pace | 19 shots, 18 cuts, 25.8 cuts/min; 3 text or picture steps, about 30 picture changes/min; mean shot 2.2 s, median 2.32 s |
| Script | Sparse Portuguese character dialogue. The automatic transcript misdetected the language and many words; its 40 words and 63 overall wpm are rough only. |
| Voice | Two natural conversational character voices: one impulsive, one dry and increasingly unimpressed. No explanatory narrator. |
| On screen | About 90% staged street and stairway action/reaction, with brief object and car inserts; no app UI or screen recording. |
| Captions | Three restrained white cost/consequence lines plus one final spoken-line subtitle, all centered low in the final third; no continuous subtitles. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal music-like bed (measured); dialogue and natural movement; no clear cut-synced effects. −14.4 LUFS integrated, −2.7 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Establish easy option → choose the harder way → embodied consequence → regret price → cheaper solution/line → logo. |
