A Jacket Narrates Its Next Life
A personified jacket explains a repair-to-resale program through mountain action and hands-on service proof.
Field notes / why it works
Four cuts in the first 3 seconds establish alpine stakes before the jacket's speaking identity is revealed at 0:10–0:14, the strongest replayed stretch. Each service becomes visible action—zipper repair at 0:41–1:05, washing at 1:13–1:24, and trade-in/resale at 1:28–2:09—before the 2:10–2:21 return to mountain use resolves the story.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A piece of hard-used outdoor gear narrates its own life in a lightly wry first person. Spectacular use footage earns attention; a real mishap leads to repair, care, trade-in, and resale, so the service range becomes a continuous character story rather than a list of offerings. The promise emerges by 0:17–0:24: this gear can stay useful through more than one adventure and owner.
Why it works
- The first 1.4 seconds move from mountain and snow details to a tiny skier and an avalanche-like powder plume; four cuts land in the first three seconds before the narrator starts at 0:02.56.
- The first-person reveal at 0:10.7–0:14.3 turns the red jacket, shown hanging among trees, into a character. The 0:13.0–0:14.4 segment is the strongest measured replay peak.
- Each benefit has tangible proof: a jammed zipper and repair bench at 0:41–1:05, wash controls and water at 1:13–1:24, then handoff, refresh, and a new owner at 1:28–2:09.
