Anyone Can Build: Product Launch Film
A 60-second inclusive launch film that moves from personal promise to customer proof, product workflow, and a human closing montage.
Field notes / why it works
The opening turns a sparse logo animation into a direct viewer promise by 0:04. Three distinct use cases and bold numerical result cards at 0:10–0:24 make the claim concrete, then a designed 0:24–0:45 workflow shows the actions behind it. Four rapid human portraits at 0:45–0:48 refresh the emotional stakes before the long CTA hold.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A one-minute, widescreen product launch film tells a broad audience that they can achieve a previously intimidating result. It starts with a personal possibility, supports it with three customer outcomes, shows the product flow in designed UI, then returns to a human face and an invitation.
Why it works
- The viewer becomes the hero by 0:04: a sparse logo animation gives way to a centered second-person statement, then the product name arrives at 0:07.
- The promise gets proof fast: three customer stories occupy 0:10–0:24, including a one-week outcome and an annual savings figure shown as bold graphic cards.
- The abstract claim becomes a sequence of actions at 0:28–0:45: describe, import, connect, store, test, publish. The interface and nouns appear together.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 60.0 s · source measured at 640×360, 30 fps |
| Pace | 15 measured shots, 14 cuts/min, 16 major picture changes/min; mean shot 4.0 s, median 2.13 s. One designed section lasts 21.07 s while its contents move. |
| Script | 154 spoken words; 156 wpm across runtime, about 208 wpm while speaking; 12 sentences averaging 12.8 words; two questions; about 5.8 instances of “you” per 100 words. |
| Voice | Warm, assured, animated mid-register narrator; brisk delivery with small reveal pauses. No visible presenter speaks to camera. |
| On screen | Roughly two-thirds designed type/UI/end card and one-third filmed people, device close-ups, or filmed backgrounds, estimated from shot durations and sheets. The long 0:24–0:45 UI shot makes frame-level content more varied than the shot count implies. |
| Captions | Designed headline and keyword cards, not full subtitles: bold black type on off-white, orange-to-yellow gradient emphasis; text sits near center or upper third. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal, music-like bed measured about 7 dB below voice; cut accents suggested by level jumps on 56% of cuts (inferred). −20.7 LUFS integrated, −4.1 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Personal promise → three proofs → product workflow → faces and aspirational close → branded invitation. Payoff at 0:45–0:52; CTA card at 0:52.6. |
