A Genome Atlas Explained Through Expert Proof
A science product launch film that turns genome-scale predictions into one replayable score example and a visible research browser.
Field notes / why it works
The first 17 seconds frame a human question before the product explanation, and 62 shots keep a 3:36 technical film moving without frantic editing. The most-replayed passage at 1:37.7–1:39.8 is a clean numeric score example; the browser shown around 2:25–2:40 supplies concrete proof that the resource is usable.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished, expert-led launch documentary makes a vast scientific problem feel legible. Interviewees first define the question in human terms, then explain one useful abstraction, demonstrate it on a real screen, and finish with the scale and future of the resource. The product arrives as an answer to a problem the viewer now understands.
Why it works
- The opening asks what a genome means before introducing the Atlas; the first 17 seconds create a question that the product can answer.
- A score card at 1:37–1:40 turns a technical claim into a concrete example; this is the largest measured replay peak (1:37.7–1:39.8).
- The second half provides tangible proof: a petabyte-scale claim at 2:19, browser screens around 2:25–2:40, then a return to the broader research outcome.
