A New AI Assistant, Shown in Three Workflows
A one-minute Notion AI launch film turns sparse typography into concrete desktop and mobile product proof.
Field notes / why it works
A tiny logo changes at 1.05 seconds, then a plain-language launch title arrives around 2.7 seconds. Four internal changes keep the 2.5–14.6-second promise scene moving, while desktop and phone UI at 14.6, 23.4 and 43.5 seconds turns claims into visible proof. The strongest replay peak, 5.1–5.7 seconds, lands on the rotating capability labels.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A small brand symbol turns into a character, then a sparse title promises a new product capability. The film cycles through quick, legible use-case labels, then proves two or three of them in increasingly close product UI demonstrations. A final text promise introduces one last mobile example before the symbol returns.
Why it works
- The first visual change arrives at 1.05 seconds, before the title appears at roughly 2.7 seconds; a plain icon becomes a character on vivid blue.
- A single broad promise at 4.4–8.6 seconds is unpacked into concrete verbs and connected-app icons by 11 seconds, making a large feature set easy to scan.
- Text claims are followed by visible UI: a cross-app answer at 14.6–21.1 seconds, writing at 23.4–33.4, and a phone interaction at 43.5–50.2. The 0:05.1 replay peak lands on the rotating capability labels.

| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 1280×720 · 23.98 fps · 56.6 s |
| Pace | 12 shots · 11 cuts / 11.7 cuts per minute · 9 internal steps / 21.2 picture changes per minute · mean shot 4.72 s, median 3.29 s |
| Script | Text-led: four main headline/promise groups plus changing capability labels and UI text; speech transcript is unusable punctuation, so spoken word count and wpm are not established. Make this format intelligible without narration. |
| Voice | No reliably identifiable spoken voice; no narrator is required. |
| On screen | Designed title and logo cards, composited product UI, small app marks, and phone UI. No people or live action. |
| Captions | No spoken-word subtitles. Large, high-contrast headline cards and native UI labels carry the copy. |
| Sound | Tonal music-like bed; roughly 139 BPM in the last 20 s (rough estimate). No consistent effects tied to cuts. −22.4 LUFS integrated; −8.1 dBFS true peak in the measured source. |
| Structure | 6 beats: icon hook → claim → cross-app proof → writing proof → broad chat/mobile proof → logo end. No explicit spoken CTA. |
