MX Master 4 Tactile Launch Film
A 37.5-second, music-led mouse launch that turns physical controls into colorful tactile effects and short proof claims.
Field notes / why it works
The 3.84-second dark macro opening creates curiosity before the full product appears around 0:08. A hand and luminous feedback rings at 0:09–0:13 make an invisible feature visible; the 0:20–0:26 sequence pairs short numeric claims with scroll and tracking actions. The film then slows into a clean product and brand payoff, with the strongest replay point at 0:36.1–0:36.5.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent, music-led 16:9 launch film makes a premium device feel tangible before spelling out its advantages. It moves from dark material close-ups to a full product reveal, then connects each brief claim to a finger, control, interface, or surface demonstration and ends on a clean brand card.
Why it works
- The first 3.84 s stay on an almost black macro logo reveal; changing light across the object supplies motion without an early cut.
- The film shows use before or alongside the claim: a hand and colored haptic rings at 0:09–0:13, thumb control and an icon ring at 0:14–0:20, then scroll and tracking demonstrations at 0:20–0:24.
- The fastest sequence is around 0:20–0:29; after it, the product hero and spare end card slow the pace. YouTube's strongest replay point is 0:36.1–0:36.5, during the final identity card.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 37.5 s · measured source 640×360 at 25 fps |
| Pace | 17 detected shots; 16 cuts; 25.6 cuts/min, or up to 35.2 if six uncertain changes are cuts; mean 2.21 s, median 1.88 s; two definite internal steps |
| Script | No speech. Around eight short product and benefit text moments, most 2–6 words; numbers provide proof. |
| Voice | None; the person shown is a user archetype, not a speaker. |
| On screen | Mostly product macros, CGI/product renders, and hands using the device; one medium desk shot, one icon graphic, and final identity cards. |
| Captions | No subtitles. Short white, centered sentence-case feature labels over footage. |
| Sound | Music-led; beat estimate ~129 BPM (rough measurement); −10.2 LUFS integrated, −1.1 dBFS true peak. No reliable evidence of effects on most cuts. |
| Structure | Material tease → full reveal → tactile control → shortcut proof → speed/precision proof → durability/premium feel → hero and brand end card. No spoken CTA. |
