The Cost of a Lost Prize
A cinematic family mishap delays its product pitch until a stark cost comparison near the end.
Field notes / why it works
A branded car crosses a vivid wet-street arcade exterior in the first 2.2 seconds, then the story makes a giant teddy bear the visual stake by 0:08. Its loss on the train around 0:21 earns the 130 RON regret card at about 0:26; a longer 7.12-second family shot then gives the 21 RON alternative time to register before the logo at 0:44.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished, mostly wordless family story lets an avoidable inconvenience unfold before naming its cost. A late, spare comparison gives the viewer a concrete reason to check the product: the first price appears at about 0:25.8, the cheaper alternative at about 0:38.2, and the logo closes the film at 0:43.9.
Why it works
- A nighttime car outside a bright arcade establishes the category in the first 2.2 s, but the ad then follows the family instead of explaining the service.
- The oversized teddy bear is a visible stake from 0:07.4; when it remains on the departing train around 0:21, the loss is understandable without a dense script.
- The two white price lines, “Prețul regretului: 130 RON” and “Prețul unei curse Uber: 21 RON,” turn that loss into a legible comparison late in the story.

| Pace | 19 detected shots, 18 cuts, 22.6 cuts/min; 31.3 picture changes/min including seven changes within shots; mean shot 2.52 s, median 2.04 s |
| Script | 50 machine-transcribed words; 69 wpm across the film and 108 wpm while speaking. The transcript is low confidence and mistranscribes Romanian dialogue as French, so its wording is unusable. |
| Voice | Naturalistic, low-key dialogue from two adult family archetypes; no continuous voiceover. |
| On screen | Nearly all live-action narrative: neon arcade exterior/interior, family, transit carriage/platform, then nighttime station wide. |
| Text | No recurring captions. Small, centered white sans-serif price lines appear over footage at ~0:25.8 and ~0:38.2; white brand mark at ~0:43.9. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal bed measured around −23.1 dBFS, with dialogue, scene ambience, and cut accents (specific effects inferred). Integrated −13.8 LUFS; true peak −2.6 dBFS. |
| Structure | Arrival → prized object → cheaper transit choice → loss → cost of regret → product price → logo. No spoken sales pitch at the opening. |
