Field notes / why it works

The bright product appears against a dark boardroom from 0:00, but the specific benefit waits until the physical slide at 0:24.7 and claim near 0:26.4. Two rapid inserts (0.35 and 0.75 seconds) break the long dramatic hold, and the largest replay peak at 0:25.6–0:25.9 coincides with the action resolving into the clean product shot.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A miniature, serious boardroom drama becomes a product demonstration. The viewer watches a bright orange phone pass among tense people before a finger pushes it along the polished table; only then does the film state the scratch-resistance claim. The oversized cover word SLIDE hints at the action, while the video itself makes the viewer wait until roughly 0:26 for the explicit benefit.

Why it works

  • The first 8.35 seconds stay in one scene while the composition changes four times; faces, hands, and an orange prop create suspense without a headline.
  • The prop travels from a distant table insert at 0:10.2 to the close finger-and-phone contact at 0:24.7, giving a simple action a 15-second buildup.
  • The YouTube replay peak is 0:25.6–0:25.9, exactly as the phone action resolves into the product beauty shot and, within a second, the “3x more scratch resistant” claim.

Pace8 measured shots, 7 cuts, 12 cuts/min; 10 internal visual steps, about 29 picture changes/min; mean shot 4.38 s, median 2.84 s
ScriptSparse scene dialogue. The machine transcript reports 18 words and 32 wpm over the full film, but mixes Russian caption/music labels with English speech; do not treat its wording or 204 active-speech wpm as reliable.
VoiceSeveral adult professional archetypes, restrained and adversarial; speech is part of the scene, not narration
On screenAbout 25 s ensemble/character drama and 5 s product/claim image, followed by a black tail; filmed close-ups, medium shots, and a long-table wide
CaptionsNo dialogue subtitles; a small, white, centered product claim over the final beauty shot
SoundLow continuous bed or room ambience at about −26.5 dBFS, roughly 8 dB below speech; no measured pattern of loud effects on cuts; −16.0 LUFS integrated, −1.7 dBFS true peak
StructureCold-open conflict → ensemble stakes → prop introduced → long tension hold → physical slide → claim/reassurance → logo/black
