MAX2: Dark Reveal, Action Proof
An 80-second camera launch film that pairs a slow studio reveal with rapid action footage and sparse centered feature claims.
Field notes / why it works
A near-black logo and lens reveal delay the complete product until about 0:14, making the switch to saturated action at 0:15.5 feel large. Short centered claims connect each capability to visible proof; the invisible-pole snowboard demonstration at 0:38.9–0:39.7 is the top replay peak. The film then escalates through terrain and perspectives before clearing to a black name card at 1:15.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A premium hardware launch film opens with a near black logo and slow studio macro reveal, then switches to first person and third person action footage. Short centered claims give each spectacular shot a reason to exist; the ending returns to a clean product and name card. The promise is that {{PRODUCT}} makes otherwise difficult footage or experiences possible, shown through escalating proof rather than narration.
Why it works
- The first 15.5 seconds withhold the whole product: a small white logo at 0:00.25, curved lens details at 0:03.9 and 0:11.6, then a body silhouette at 0:14.2.
- A proof/claim pairing begins by 0:23.3: action footage carries the frame while one centered benefit makes the takeaway readable. More examples arrive roughly every 2.5–5 seconds from 0:31 onward.
- The most replayed span, 0:38.9–0:39.7, shows a snowboarder and the invisible pole result. The second peak, 1:06.4–1:07.2, falls in the fast action montage.

|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 80.0 s · source analyzed at 640×360, 29.97 fps |
| Pace | 19 measured shots; 18 definite cuts, 13.5 cuts/min; uncertain rapid action changes could raise this to 38.2/min. Mean shot 4.21 s, median 3.24 s. |
| Script | No reliable spoken script. OCR visible in sheets: short claim cards of about 2–7 words. The automatic 34-word transcript is inconsistent with the product imagery and appears to have mistaken soundtrack for speech. |
| Voice | No discernible narrator; action participants are shown as athletes, without dialogue driving the edit. |
| On screen | Approx. 20% dark studio product/identity; 80% outdoor action and experiential proof (inferred from measured shot durations and sampled frames). |
| Captions | No subtitles. Uppercase white, heavy sans serif claim cards, usually centered over footage. |
| Sound | Continuous music-like bed; roughly 125 BPM is a low-confidence measurement. Stronger audio accents coincide with about half the definite cuts (inferred as hits or action sound). |
| Structure | 5 broad beats: mystery reveal → performance proof → shooting modes → durability/audio → rapid montage and end lockup. No explicit CTA. |
