RGB Workspace That Changes with the Screen
A 32-second iCUE Murals launch film links a visible control UI to a desk that cycles through coordinated RGB scenes.
Field notes / why it works
The fixed desk composition shows the result by 0:00.5, then cycles several clearly different colour schemes without needing narration. At 0:09–0:11 the UI sits beside changing PC lights, and the 0:13 and 0:17 feature cards turn a visual spectacle into a simple product story. Four measured shots and ten changes within them keep the 32-second film coherent while refreshing the image.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A compact launch film sells an ambient software feature by letting the physical workspace repeatedly change colour while the product UI stays visible. It starts with the finished effect, then shows a simple interaction, the breadth of connected devices, and a final brand card. No explanation or presenter is needed.
Why it works
- The promise is visible by 0:00.5: the same desk, lamp, PC fans, wall panels, and light bars turn from red to pink, green, and purple through 0:03.
- Product and proof share a frame: at 0:09–0:11 the interface's colour canvas sits beside glowing PC parts, making the claimed control easy to grasp.
- Only four measured shots carry 32 seconds, while ten changes inside shots refresh the image; the 0:13 and 0:17 text cards give the viewer clear feature checkpoints.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 32.0 s; measured source 640×360 at 25 fps |
| Pace | 4 measured shots; 3 cuts, or 5.6–7.5 cuts/min allowing one uncertain 0:26.8 change; mean shot 8.0 s, median 6.0 s; 10 internal steps, ~24.3 picture changes/min total |
| Script | No reliable spoken script. The isolated “You” at 0:30.6 appears to be a transcription false positive over the logo card (inferred). Sparse headline cards carry the message. |
| Voice | None; no person appears |
| On screen | ~23% wide desk reveal, ~14% UI/PC close-up, ~13% overhead workspace, ~50% frontal monitor/lighting tableau and brand end card, based on the four measured shot spans |
| Captions | No subtitles. White uppercase feature headlines; small handwritten yellow tagline. |
| Sound | Music-led, approximately 121 BPM (low-confidence estimate); −14.5 LUFS integrated, −3.2 dBFS true peak. Individual effects are not established by the supplied measurements. |
| Structure | 5 beats: colour promise → direct manipulation → whole setup → synchronised scenes/compatibility → brand stop |
