The ink tag's hidden failure
A fast vertical explainer pairs a hands-on security-tag test with an internal cutaway and a dramatic dye payoff.
Field notes / why it works
The first second shows hands forcing the tag while the voice addresses the viewer directly, making a clear physical question. Internal cutaways around 0:04 and 0:12 explain the lock, then the most-replayed span at 0:14.8–0:15.1 reveals the fragile ink chamber before black dye visibly stains the pale shirt at 0:17–0:19. The measured cut detector found only two shots but flagged 25 uncertain visual changes; the sheets show frequent switches of framing and scene.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A narrator starts with a viewer-facing attempt to force an everyday object, then the camera seems to see inside it. A physical demonstration alternates with simplified internal animation until a visible, messy consequence resolves the question. The promise is present from 0:00: what happens if you force this tag?
Why it works
- The first 0.6 s already shows two hands pulling at a blue tag on a pale shirt; the voice immediately frames the action as something “you” might try.
- The explanation becomes visible around 0:04–0:06: metal balls grip the pin in a cutaway, giving the viewer a mechanism rather than an unsupported claim.
- At 0:14–0:16, the replay peak lands on the ink vials/reveal. The black splatter across pale fabric at 0:17–0:19 delivers an unmistakable payoff.
