Lightspeed Lina gameplay-first Kickstarter trailer
A music-led game launch trailer that turns traversal, combat, customization, and cast reveals into a final crowdfunding ask.
Field notes / why it works
The first 4 seconds show a readable traversal challenge in motion before any title or cut. Combat and reward at 0:21–0:27, outfit menus at 0:35–0:41, and a seven-cut surge at 0:55–1:00 expand the promise; the outfit view at 0:40 is the strongest replay point. A 13.37-second final card gives the Kickstarter ask time to register.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent, music-led 3D game trailer demonstrates speed before it explains anything: traversal gives way to hazards, a boss, rewards, customization, new locations, companions, and a final threat. The playable product is the pitch. A large logo and support card arrive after the action, around 1:01.
Why it works
- The opening holds one wide, moving desert platforming view for 4.0 s; the camera and character motion establish the core movement mechanic before the first cut.
- The middle alternates traversal with proof of depth: boss combat at 0:21–0:27, shop and outfit menus at 0:35–0:41. The customization screen is the top replay point at 0:40.0–0:40.7.
- The edit peaks at seven cuts during 0:55–1:00, then gives the logo and Kickstarter call to action a 13.37 s final shot.
