Field notes / why it works

The alarmed close-up and paradoxical first line begin at 0:00, while the viewer-facing questions arrive by 0:23. An extended ancestral story at 1:14–3:19 makes the mechanism memorable, then the 3:24 chapter card translates it into everyday modern threats. The 5:15.9–5:23.1 replay peak overlaps the chronic-stress reveal, supporting the value of a clearly marked conceptual turn.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A calm but vivid narrator casts a familiar problem as a useful old mechanism with a costly modern mismatch. A saturated 2D animated story acts out the mechanism, shifts to contemporary everyday scenes, and turns abstract body processes into characters, meters, and diagrams. The first line states the paradox at 0:00; the practical question arrives by 0:23.

Why it works

  • The opening combines an alarmed face with the paradox “Stress is an ancient superpower that's slowly killing you” at 0:00–0:05; there is no logo or setup delay.
  • A continuous ancestral encounter from 1:14–3:19 gives a memorable cause-and-effect model before the 3:24 chapter card reverses its context.
  • The busiest replay peak, 5:15.9–5:23.1, overlaps the chronic-stress reveal and a large chapter title; viewers revisit the conceptual pivot. This is an observation, not proof of why they replayed.
