Big Sound on a Mini Tennis Set
A 30-second portable-speaker launch film turns a staged tennis rally into a rhythmic product reveal and final overhead logo frame.
Field notes / why it works
A miniature turf stage and animated cream wordmark make the premise legible by 0:02, then 21 shots accelerate into six subsecond action inserts at 0:13.6–0:17.3. The edit gives the small speaker a readable 3.8-second product card at 0:19.5 and closes on an overhead product-and-logo frame at 0:28.7, the strongest replay point.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A premium, playful product spot puts two charismatic performers in a deliberately artificial activity set. A small product appears beside a large physical performance, then a product card and a final shared frame answer the implied question: how can something compact create such a big experience?
Why it works
- The opening spends 0:00–0:02 establishing a full, surreal stage while a cream horizontal streak forms the brand mark; this reads before any dialogue.
- The middle switches from roughly 1–2 s portraits and product details to six 0.42–0.96 s action shots at 0:13.6–0:17.3, making the sport feel propelled by the sound.
- The speaker receives a clear 3.8 s product card at 0:19.5, then sits between the performers under the logo at 0:28.7. That final image is the most-replayed section, 0:28.8–0:29.1.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 640×360 source · 23.98 fps · 30.0 s |
| Pace | 21 shots, 20 detected cuts, 40–46 cuts/min allowing for 3 uncertain changes; mean 1.43 s, median 1.37 s |
| Script | 25 detected words; measured 63 wpm overall, about 150 wpm during actual speech; sparse, short exchanges. Some detected words likely belong to the song. |
| Voice | Two lively, casual participant voices; brief callouts and a delighted product reaction. No narrator. |
| On screen | Approximately 55% staged portraits and activity, 25% product details/card, 20% opening and closing brand tableaux (inferred from shot durations). |
| Captions | No spoken-word captions. Cream brand typography appears at the start, product card, and finish. |
| Sound | Continuous, prominent upbeat beat with vocals, dialogue and action accents; −17.4 LUFS integrated, −2.3 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Brand tableau → introduce pair and object → activity burst → product payoff → shared reaction → logo lockup; no explicit spoken CTA. |
