Field notes / why it works

The first nine seconds stage a clear sequence of discoveries: foggy plane, red-lit tank, then a drop into the arena. Combat begins at 0:09.2 and escalates through fiery swings and collisions; replay peaks at 0:13.7–0:14.0 and again near the final hit at 0:32.0–0:32.4. A 2.8-second white-on-black name card lets the spectacle resolve into a memorable title.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A large transport plane emerges from fog, reveals a tank in its cargo hold, and drops it into an arena. The next 25 seconds prove the game's central pleasure through repeated movement, sweeping attacks, collisions, and explosions; the name appears only at 0:32.8. The promise is experiential: watch this machine arrive and see what it can do.

Why it works

  • The first reveal is staged in steps: fog at 0:00, plane by 0:00.5, tank at 0:01.6, cargo-door exit at 0:06.7. Each step answers one question and raises the next.
  • The montage shifts from airborne setup to direct combat at 0:09.2; the replay peak at 0:13.7–0:14.0 falls during a vivid orange attack and impact.
  • The final hit around 0:32.0–0:32.7 has another near-peak replay signal (0.96), just before the stark white-on-black logo at 0:32.8.
