A Designer's Colour Story for Limited-Edition Audio

A 24-second collaboration launch film ties tactile product close-ups to a vintage console through a calm first-person design story.

Field notes / why it works

The voice starts at 0:00 while a green stripe animates across a close human portrait; the first cut waits until 3.21 s. Five tactile product shots from 5.9 to 12.3 s build physical proof, then the 17.0 s studio-wide source reveal and 19.1 s headphone macro connect the spoken inspiration to the finished design.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A calm, low-register creative voice opens with a personal design principle while the camera holds close on the speaker. Five rapid tactile close-ups then show a limited-edition product before a longer interview shot explains the colour source; a wide view of that source and a final product detail turn the spoken idea into proof. The film sells taste and provenance rather than listing specifications.

Why it works

  • The opening puts a face, ear-worn product, sweeping green brand stripe, and name on screen by 1.75 s, while speech begins at 0.00 s. The first cut waits until 3.21 s, giving the introduction room to register.
  • Cuts accelerate from 5.9–10.8 s across the case, components, and ear-worn detail: five product shots, most about 1–1.5 s, make the object concrete before its inspiration is explained.
  • The voice names a console at 10.8–12.3 s, the wide studio source appears at 17.0 s, and the headphone colour detail follows at 19.1 s. The answer arrives in linked pictures, not a claim alone.
