Dex5-S Hand: Dexterity Demonstrated
A 43-second robotics launch film that moves from polished close-ups to a long real-time hand test and everyday tool use.
Field notes / why it works
The product and its dexterity claim are visible at 0:00, followed by three different object tests by 0:09.1. A 12.44-second real-time hand movement begins at 0:17.6 and contains the strongest replay peak at 0:20.7–0:21.1; spoon and scissor tasks then make the capability familiar.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent, music led product reveal starts with a giant capability claim beside a hero image, then shows the object performing progressively more convincing physical tasks. Short, polished studio shots establish the product; a 12.44 s unbroken real time movement at 0:17.6 supplies the proof; ordinary objects and an end card close the film.
Why it works
- The promise is visible at 0:00: the hand fills the right half while four large title lines on the left name the product and claim dexterity.
- Demonstrations get more grounded: stylized grasping at 0:01.6–0:09.1 gives way to a real time hand movement from 0:17.6–0:30.0, then spoon and scissor tasks at 0:30.0–0:39.1.
- The most replayed 0:20.7–0:21.1 segment lies within that sustained motion, suggesting viewers value watching the movement itself (inferred).
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 43.0 s · source analysis 640×360 at 25 fps |
| Pace | 13 detected shots; 12 definite cuts; 16.7–22.3 cuts/min with four uncertain changes; mean 3.31 s, median 1.92 s; one 12.44 s proof take |
| Script | No spoken script or narrator; one opening title and tiny technical text/end card. A lone transcript “You” at 0:41.6 appears to be a false detection over the end slate (inferred from frames). |
| Voice | None; product action carries the explanation. |
| On screen | About 95% product views and physical demos by duration, about 5% end card; no presenter. |
| Captions | No speech captions. Opening headline uses four oversized left aligned lines. Tiny labels appear around the joint close ups. |
| Sound | Rhythmic soundtrack, roughly 101 BPM by analysis; no clear cut synced effects; measured −7.7 LUFS and +0.6 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Claim → capability montage → long real time proof → everyday task proof → logo/safety slate; no spoken CTA. |
